1. Performance in VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) - VITEEE ranks are the primary criteria for admission. Based on the ranks, initial shortlisting of candidates is done.

2. Class 12th Marks - Minimum aggregate marks required in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is 60% for general category students and 55% for SC/ST students.

3. Performance in JEE Main Exam (for some programs) - For certain specialized B.Tech programs, JEE Main ranks are also considered along with VITEEE ranks.

4. Signature of Undertaking - Shortlisted candidates have to sign an undertaking agreeing to the institute's rules and regulations.

5. Document Verification - Academic certificates and marksheets from 10th, 11th and 12th standards are checked and verified by VIT for accuracy.

6. Payment of Fees - Only after payment of requisite fees as per allotted category, the admission is confirmed and finalized by VIT.
