Delhi University Application Procedure

1. Online Registration: Visit the official DU admission portal (https://www.du.ac.in/) and navigate to the registration section. Create a new account by providing your name, email address, mobile number, and other required details. Generate a unique username and password for future logins.

2. Fill the Application Form: Log in to your account and complete the application form by providing accurate personal, academic, and other necessary information. Carefully fill in details such as your name, date of birth, address, educational qualifications, and choice of course and college preferences.

3. Upload Documents: Scan and upload the required documents as per the specifications mentioned in the application form. This usually includes your passport-sized photograph, signature, identity proof (such as Aadhaar card), mark sheets, and other supporting documents.

4. Review and Submit: After filling in all the necessary information and uploading the documents, review the application form to ensure accuracy. Make any necessary corrections before final submission. Once you are satisfied with the provided information, submit the application form.

5. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the prescribed application fee as per the instructions provided on the DU admission portal. The fee can usually be paid online using credit/debit cards, net banking, or other electronic payment methods. Keep a copy of the transaction receipt or acknowledgment for future reference.

6. Print the Application Form: After successful submission of the application form and payment of the fee, take a printout of the completed application form for your records. This printed form may be required during document verification or counseling processes.

7. Admit Card/Entrance Exam: If you have applied for a course that requires an entrance examination, DU will release the admit card on the admission portal. Download and print the admit card within the specified dates. Follow the instructions mentioned on the admit card regarding the examination schedule, venue, and other relevant details.

8. Merit Lists and Counseling (if applicable): For courses that have a merit-based selection process, DU releases multiple cut-off lists based on the qualifying exam marks. If your name appears in the cut-off list, visit the respective college for document verification and admission counseling. Carry all the original documents and their photocopies for verification.

9. Final Admission and Fee Payment: After document verification and counseling, if you are offered admission to your preferred course and college, complete the admission formalities by paying the admission fee. This can be done either online through the DU admission portal or offline at the respective college.
