Xavier Aptitude Test

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) which is a professional entrance exam, is of national level, is organized by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes, XAMI, every year. XAT is taken annually by over 100 thousand people for a chance to study postgraduate courses in management offered by more than 160 business schools across India. 

Examiners use this exam for the purpose of testing candidates on numerical reasoning and data analytics, critical thinking and verbal abilities, insight gathering and general knowledge. XAT has been known from the time of its inception, as one such tough MBA entrance exam that uses the innovative question structure and creative approach towards problem solving and decision making. The key dates for XAT 2024 are as follows: online registration  from  August, 2023, the exam which will be conducted on January 8th 2024 and results' declaration on 31st January, 2024.

This year, a single online computer based test will be carried out with special emphasis on testing key cognitive abilities and critical competencies that are crucial for management education. Admission process to the Xavier's 2 years PGDM flagship program is extremely competitive with student selection practice that includes multiple sets of group discussions and personal interviews along with high XAT cut off. This process seeks to filter and conduct the admission of the candidates who have the highest level of superiority as far as leadership and decision making is concerned.
