Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test

The PUCAT, an entrance test conducted by Periyar University, Tamil Nadu is a university level examination for admission to undergraduate and post graduate courses conducted either by the university or the college affiliated to it. The test measures students' capability and mastery to cover different fields of the concerned areas. PUCAT is a handwritten test conducted done through pen and paper format only which is also known as PUCET and is conducted annually, usually in the month of June. In this test, the duration is total 2 hours and consists of 100 multiple choice questions which are divided into three parts: General awareness and aptitude (30 questions), quantitative ability (35 questions), and subject specific (35 questions). 

The presidential aspirant is free to choose either the Tamil or the English question paper for answering during the test. The Periyar University conducts the PUCAT exam results involving the candidates' scores within a month of the test date exclusively on Periyar University's website. The minimum passing marks is determined by 30%. Therefore, the second PUCAT for 2024 is projected to be held in the second half of June 2024 and the final result will be declared in July that year. The last date in which the university will pay attention to exam is to be notified by them.
