TISSNET, which is an abbreviation for Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test, is the national level entrance examination conducted at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) every year, for admission to the post graduate programs offered by it. The exam is designed to mainly evaluate how qualified the applicants are in the areas of political and social sciences. The test is spread over whole India at accredited centers on a computerized mode.
TISSNET 2024 examination will have MCQs totaling 155 in number spread across four sections- General Knowledge (40 questions), English Language (40 questions), Mathematical and Logical Reasoning (25 questions) and Social Sciences (50 questions). Candidates will use 100 minutes of the countdown for the test. Every answer estimated accurately 1 mark will be awarded as opposed to 0.33 marks that will be deducted for each wrong answer.
