TISSNET (Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test), a national level exam held annually by Tata Institute of Social Sciences for admission to the post graduate programmes (MA, MSc and MHA) of the institution's various campuses is also well known. TISSNET will be evaluating candidates qualitatively, verbally and in terms of general awareness using multiple choice questions. The examination is carried out every year, which is most of the year January. The TISSNET exam of TISS 2023 will be conducted on 7th January, and the results are estimated to be declared in the second week of February. The January first week is likely to be the period of the admission test conformation for 2024 TISSNET.
The TISSNET question paper consists of100 questions that needs to be attempted before 100 minutes is over by the candidate. The questions are general knowledge (35), English language (25), mathematics (25) and data interpretation and language skills (15). The fact that there is no negative marking for wrong answers in TISSNET will help me tackle the pressure and anxiety of making mistakes during my exam. Once the results for the test are out, shortlisted candidates need to next stage out, which is a common research methods paper then followed by teaching and educational knowledge assessment. Ultimately, the nominated candidates begin their admission to different TISS campuses such as Mumbai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Tuljapur and others based on their preferred camps, categories, and merit position.

The TISSNET cutoff for the year 2024 is expected to be released in the month of March 2024. The cutoff will be released category wise, i.e., General, OBC, SC, and ST. The cutoff will be based on the candidate's performance in the TISSNET exam and the number of seats available for each category.

A good score in TISSNET 2024 is highly relative and depends on the programs you are applying for as well as the category you belong to. However, generally speaking, a score above 55 is considered to be a good score. If you are applying for highly competitive programs such as MA in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations or MA in Organization Development, Change and Leadership, you may need to score even higher, above 60.
