RUET (Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology) examination is the entry test for admission to bachelor level engineering program at the country’s premier engineering university. It can be called a nationwide engineering admission test that is at the very top of the competition. The test is in form of single-answer questions from different disciplines (physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English). The exam evaluates students' analytical reasoning capability and their potential feasibility for engineering studies in science and mathematics domains. They will be asked up-to-date and very specific questions to find the best students possible.
Conducted in October 2024, the admission test of RUET gathered 37,000 students and competed for the admission of only around 3000 open slots with an admission rate less than 10%. The results were published on website www.officialwebsite.com on November 2023. The students must fulfill the other criteria even along with the good RUET score if they want to be selected. Likewise, RUET admission test for the 2024-25 academic year is scheduled to be held on October 29-2024, and the scorecards are to be published on the university website www.ruet.ac.bd by November 2024. The fact is that only a highly restricted number of seats are available so the admission process becomes more difficult and competitive every year.

RUET offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various engineering and architectural disciplines, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Architecture, and more.
Admission to RUET's undergraduate programs is typically conducted through a competitive entrance exam. The exam assesses candidates' knowledge in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Eligibility criteria may vary from year to year, but generally, candidates who have completed their HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) or equivalent education with required subjects are eligible to apply. Specific subject requirements and minimum GPA criteria might be specified.
The RUET admission exam is usually held once a year. The exact date can vary, so it's important to keep an eye on the official RUET website for the latest information.
The exam pattern may vary, but typically, the RUET admission test consists of questions from subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The questions are generally multiple-choice or written response type.
While there might not be an officially defined syllabus, the exam usually covers topics from the HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) curriculum in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Application processes can change, but candidates generally need to apply online through the official RUET website during the specified application period. The application process usually involves filling out forms, uploading documents, and paying the application fee.
RUET might have specific provisions for admitting foreign students. Generally, foreign students might need to go through a different application process and meet specific eligibility requirements. It's recommended to check the official RUET website for details.
The eligibility criteria can vary, but generally, candidates who have completed their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination with required subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are eligible to apply.
Candidates should have completed their HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) or equivalent education from a recognized educational board, with the relevant subjects specified by the university.
Generally, there might not be a specific age limit mentioned by the university for the RUET exam. However, it's advisable to check the official information for the specific year's admission notice.
