RUET (Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology) test is the entrance examination for UG (Undergraduate) program selection of 5 year long engineering programs offered by Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology in Bangladesh. It is to be counted among the most difficult competitive engineering entrance tests in the country.
The RUET exam is comprised of such courses as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English up to the pass of the higher secondary level. An annual test is held mostly either in the month of May or June. Students have to answer an MCQ written test of 100 marks each for all subjects and every subject has duration of 1 hour. The final selection is done based on candidates' scores and selected disciplines. The candidates with right answers are conveyed to the viva exams before final admissions.
The outcome of RUET is commented upon on the university’s official site as well as major newspapers. Students can get information such as the calculation of cutoff marks and merit lists of respective streams. The university also sends call letters to qualified students for oral support consideration, the letters indicate exam date, time, and venue.
