UGMAC (University Grants Commission Mandatory Assessment for College Admissions) Test is the national level competitive test that is conducted to determine the eligibility and achievement level of college students for the graduate and postgraduate level courses in different universities of India. The test will be run by National Testing Agency (NTA) as a substitute agent of University Grants Commission (UGC). UGMAC screening a candidate's adequacy for college admission programs of all degree fields, such as sciences, commerce, humanities, engineering and management. The pattern of paper includes multiple choice questions which will be from the domains of general aptitude, numerical ability, reasoning and subjects which are related to the domain the student wishes to choose as the basis of Admission. UGMAC results are accepted by around 150 accepting institutes for admission.
In 2024, the UGMAC exams will be held in an online mode in three sessions all scheduled for May 2024. Registration process typically begins about 45 days and no later than 60 days before the test. Once the test is completed, a set of answers (keys) will be released by NTA, indicating the scores the test-takers are likely to obtain. By the end of those 15-20 days after the exam announcement, the results and scorecards will be posted on the web. The results in this case will feature the percentile scores for both sections and the overall score. The respective institutes pronounce their admission cut-offs, following separate categories by bifurcating the booth for various academic programs of 2024-25 batch.
