UGMAC (University Grants Commission Mandatory Admission Common Entrance Test) is an entrance examination which is conducted for the purpose of admission to the undergraduate programs of different central universities as well as the participating independent institutions across India. This program, introduced in 2022, will seek a unified procedure for ecadmissions into the undergraduate courses and provide equal access to all educational institutions for the children from all backgrounds.
UGMAC aims at giving students of the below subjects (English, general awareness, mathematical aptitude, and analytical skills) a test to ascertain their competence. It is internet based and computer-adaptive test of three hours duration and comprising multiple choice questions. Undergraduate students who possess this score in relation to the Humanities and Social Sciences are admitted to JNU, BHU, Jamia Millia Islamia University, AUD and around 100 other participating universities. The UGMAC score is and with the preferences students will be allotted seats in undergraduate courses through a centralized counseling.
The 2024, which is likely to be conducted in July 2024, for admission to undergraduate courses in the academic session of 2024-2025. A brochure about the UGMAC 2024 examination will be published by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in its official site in the month of March 2024 and it contains all the information regarding exam pattern, syllabus, registration process and important dates.
