The conducting body for VSAT is Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU). It is a private university located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The university was established in 2008 and offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.
VSAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by SGVU for admission to its undergraduate engineering programs. The exam is held annually and is open to all students who have passed their 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology/Computer Science as compulsory subjects.
The exam is a 2-hour long objective-type exam with 120 questions. Each question carries 2 marks and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The exam is divided into 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
