Detailed CAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
The degree should be equivalent to a Bachelor's degree conferred by a recognized university under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956.
Minimum Marks:
There is no specific minimum percentage or CGPA requirement for the Bachelor's degree. Candidates with any percentage are eligible to apply.
Final Year Students:
Candidates appearing for the final year of their Bachelor's degree or its equivalent can also apply.
However, they must ensure that they complete their degree with the minimum required marks and submit the final degree certificate within the specified deadline set by the respective IIMs during the admission process.
Age Limit:
There is no age limit for taking the CAT exam. Candidates of any age can apply.
Reservation Categories:
Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disability (PwD) are provided with relaxation in terms of minimum qualification and eligibility criteria.
Candidates in these categories must provide relevant and valid category certificates as per the CAT guidelines.
Work Experience:
