The JEE Main 2024 exam eligibility criteria prescribe the academic qualifications and age limit that candidates need to fulfill in order to appear for the entrance test. As per the eligibility norms, candidates must have passed or be appearing in the 12th/equivalent qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths as compulsory subjects. A minimum aggregate of 75% (65% for SC/ST) is required in these subjects taken together in the qualifying exam. Additionally, candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999 to meet the age limit.
There are no restrictions on the number of attempts and students who have passed the 12th exam in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2024 are also eligible. Other eligibility aspects like categories under which candidates can apply, criteria for foreign nationals and PIO/OCI card holders may also be specified by the administering body National Testing Agency (NTA).
