The National Testing Agency (NTA) initiated the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) as a common entrance examination to be conducted nationally in order for aspirants to seek admissions into management programs across the country. It examines logical reasoning, quantitative methods, language understanding, and general knowledge, which is a necessity for candidates seeking admissions in PGDM and MBA programs by various universities and colleges.
The CMAT assessment is conducted once annually which evaluates the competency of the candidates to perform well on the job and also fulfil the educational eligibility for management studies. The next year CMAT will include 100 multiple choice questions covered in four portions carrying a maximum of 400 marks and having to conclude the test in a time frame of 3 hours. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in online mode at numerous centers within the country.
The CAT 2023 dates have been announced by NTA as per their schedule. The test is scheduled for the 28th of February at numerous locations across the length and breadth of India. Further, after the exam is conducted, the CMAT results will be likely to be out within 7-10 days. This report will include the student's final percentile and sectional scores. The score will be acceptable to over 1000 business schools as one of the inputs for admission. The MBA admission of reputed colleges like FMS, JBIMS, SP Jain will be based on CMAT 2023 score and choices, range from which candidates are free to apply for.
