National Aptitude test in Architecture

The National-Level Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is the aptitude examination of the Council of Architecture (CoA) that is undertaken to enable admission into 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree programs provided by the authenticated institutes in India. NATA has two modes of conducting the test – paper based or computer based, which have the ability to assess a candidate’s drawing and observational as well as aesthetic and logical reasoning abilities. There is a two parts test and part A involves the creative thinking and drawing.

On the other side, Part B focuses on the logical thinking and critical analysis. The majority of high-end architecture colleges which include SPA, CEPT, and NITs combine NATA scores with class 12 marks for admissions. Whether NATA 2023 is conducted in April or July is highly expected. From the official website, candidates can download the result and score card also to understand how they fared in the aptitude test. The minimum qualifying grading point at NATA 2023 competition may vary from college to college. It is highly probable that the exams for NATA 2024 will be declared by Council of Architecture in the last quarter of 2024.
