VITEEE, or the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination, is the entrance test conducted by VIT University (Vellore Institute of Technology) for admissions to its various undergraduate engineering programs. Indian and foreign nationals can apply for VITEEE. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) are also eligible.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2024

• Nationality: Indian Nationals, NRIs, PIOs, and OCIs are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2023.
• Age: Candidates must have been born on or after July 1, 2001.
• Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
• Subject Eligibility: Candidates must have studied PCMB/PCM or PCB combinations in their 10+2 examination.
• Reservation: VITEEE 2023 follows a reservation policy for the following categories:
  • SC: 15%
  • ST: 7.5%
  • OBC-NCL: 27%
  • PWD: 3%
  • NRI/PIO/OCI: 15%

• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
• Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): 27%
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 3%

VITEEE 2024 Eligibility criteria for NRI/Foreign Students

• Nationality: Candidates must be either:

  • A citizen of a foreign country.
  • A person of Indian origin (PIO) who has a PIO card issued by the Government of India.
  • An overseas citizen of India (OCI) who has an OCI card issued by the Government of India.

• Age: Candidates must have been born on or after July 1, 2002.

• Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

• Subject Eligibility: Candidates must have studied PCMB/PCM or PCB combinations in their 10+2 examination.

• Candidates must have scored a minimum of 95% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in their 10+2 examination.
• Candidates who have studied PCB can also apply for the VITEEE exam. However, they will only be eligible for the B.Tech. Bio-engineering and Biotechnology courses.
• The Board Toppers quota is only available for the following branches of engineering:
