As the name suggests, Nirma University is a non-profit, private institution with the location of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, India. The university started in 2003 and became one of the main universities in Western India offering curriculum in 5 disciplines: engineering and pharmacy, management sciences and law. Being such a vast institution, Nirma offers courses from under graduation to post graduation and to Ph.D level. The institution typically emphasizes on two of the programs for which it is received acclamation namely B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and MBA in Marketing. Unlike the past, the major points of discussion of the B. Tech. Syllabus of CSE comes with topics like programming, data structures, operating systems, databases and networking that will help to uplift the technical and analytical knowledge. Marketing tracks for MBA include consumer behavior, brand management, digital marketing, etc. These courses are aimed at marketing the major part of a business. Nirma University, conducts the B.Tech exams in November but those for May and December in April. In simple words, the exams are conducted annually. MBA entrance tests are conducted in the months of October-November and dates vary from varsity to varsity. The selection procedure of admissions for the B.Tech and MBA batch beginning in January 2024 shall be conducted in November 2023. Candidates seeking an admittance must report on the date of entrance test,NET conducted by us (university level exams). The candidates are interviewed in person and involved in the group discussions, while the final functional has been developed. The stipulated minimum aggregate score levels attained in precede qualifying examinations differ.

Nirma University Admission Process

- Submission of application will be carried out in January 2024 to admit on different undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at Nirma University's Institutes.

- The University has instituted an admissions process which is based on merit. This is evidenced by qualifying scores as attested scores or through entrance tests as conducted by the University. The NPAT, NU-LAT, and NCHMCT JEE are prominent entrance tests for the disciplines of BTech, BBA/MBA, and BHMCT, respectively.

- For certain specialised programs, this may include other rounds like group discussions, writing skill evaluations etc along with other rounds in the selection process.

- The application process is entirely online via the university’s admission portal. Students are required to sign-up, fill available forms, and upload relevant documents.

- Application fee is from Rs. 100 to 1500, depending on the programs. Along with extra fees, I have to also pay an additional entrance fee, if qualified for both NPAT/NU-LAT.

- Admit cards (sometimes known as Admission Tickets) are published 1-2 weeks before the exam date. Exams can either be online/offline mode and there are many centers where it is conducted.

- Admission merit-lists for the shortlisted candidates are duly announced, program-by-program. The names of the students in the merit list might vary depending on whether the seats in the institution are full or not.

- Shortlisted applicants should quickly conclude admission formalities by paying fees, verification of their documents, etc. before the opening of classes in the 4th month of 2024.
