UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) is an exam designed to evaluate the eligibility of candidates for undergraduate design programs. It is a nation wide entrance tourney conducted by IIT Bombay and for the admissions to the Bachelor of Design courses provided by the IITs, and other participating institutes. The exam specifically seeks to test an individual's ability and knowledge of design principals. The UCEED examination is composed of Part-A which assesses conceptualization ability and Part-B comprises of questions testing general awareness, design sensitivity, visual perception, environmental and social awareness, memory skills, creativity and communication skills.
The examination for the UCEED for 3 hours and all it is online. Every year, registration for UCEED 2024 commences in July and continues till August. The UCEED exam is scheduled for the next year, January 22, 2023, to be administered in two shifts. Students who have participated in the UCEED would get to know about their results in March 2023. A certain % ore is vary institute-wise to admit students to that department. The test score will keep itself alive for that academic year during which the test shall have been taken.

- Class 12 / Pre-University examination hall ticket / admit card as proof of appearing for the exam: You will be required to submit a scanned copy of your Class 12/pre-university hall ticket indicating that you intend to sit for your final examinations in 2023 (Class 12/pre-university).
- Photo ID proof: In addition to the photos, you should upload a digital copy of a validated photo ID proof example Aadhar card, driving license, passport etc. on the exam day, the id has to be carried in original.
- Scanned photograph: This requires that you submit a passport sized photograph that should be scanned and captured in proper color.
- Scanned signature: It is required that you will include a handwritten full signature photo in the registration form.
