Gujarat Admission Committee for Professional Courses

ACPC involves the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) that provide a centralized admission procedure for several professional degree courses throughout colleges in Gujarat. ACPC examination is the common admission test taken by all the students who are looking for joining any degree programs like engineering, pharmacy, business administration and architecture with the help if institutes of the participating institution. 

ACPC exam is designed to assess students knowledge in subjects such as physics, chemistry, maths or biology in order to avoid creating a science-shift. The test is objective but in multiple choice question form. The selection of students is determined from among the ACPC score holders and their preferences. Thus, counselling rounds allot seats to these candidates according to their ACPC score. The test is commonly declared both, tough and popular, with approximately 1 lakh students appearing yearly for the test to vie for the available 35 thousand spots.

ACPC posters their exam schedule at the beginning of January-February in top newspaper outlets. The 2024 CSAT dates are yet to be announced. In previous years, the tests were scheduled in the second-third week of June. Consequently, it is most likely that the tests will be scheduled on those dates. Likely within a month of results publication. Some of the students who make through the verification process will be granted admissions by July / August depending on the new academic session start. The ACPC process for the academic year, hence, stretches for 5 - 6 months acting as a centralized admission route to professional colleges of Gujarat.

Gujarat ACPC Reservation of Seats 2024

The Gujarat Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) reserves a certain percentage of seats in engineering and technology colleges for various categories of students. The reservation of seats is aimed at providing equal opportunities to students from all sections of society.

Documents Required for Gujarat ACPC Exam Registration 2024

- 10th and 12th mark sheets: The certificates of 10th and 12th exams won't be enough, you will have to show your parents your mark sheets of Class 10 and Class 12 exams as proof of qualifying previous exams.

- School/College leaving certificate: The document is a must because you need to showcase your absconded and concluded education level that you have accomplished. 

- Caste certificate (if applicable): All of SC, ST, and OBC candidates should have their caste certificates issued by government authorities. Those certificates have to be proper and are valid.

- Non-Creamy Layer certificate (if applicable): Welfare OBC candidates have to produce a certificate of creamy layer.

- Income certificate (if applicable): Possibly giving the income certificate would be one condition for your admission into the reservation under the economically backward class rules.

- Aadhaar card: Aadhaar card has been shown that it serves the dual purpose of ID proof as well as the address proof in the registration process. 

- Passport size photos: You have to give some latest photos of your passport type which are for registration process.

- Domicile certificate: Additional qualifying documents may be required, which in some cases may include a Gujarat state domicile certificate.
