Eligibility
Usually you require a master's degree in the branch of science and technology to be done from some college with a passing grade of 60% or 6.5/10 CGPA. Basing on the SC/ST student category, 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA would be accepted at a master's. Students in final year of their master's are equally eligible to apply to this scholarship.

Admission Process
The scholars will be chosen based on their qualification and previous research performance, and entrance exam scores like GATE. Those who qualify for the interview session will then be interviewed. Chosen grantee is eligible for fellowship or other notable cost-saving assistances based on their academic record, interview results, project uniqueness, etc. Applications must be submitted both to departments/schools of the university and for fellowship.
1. Entrance Exam: In order to be eligible for the PhD program, candidates need to clear the entrance exam such as GATE/NET or equivalent. Some departments will also be doing their own written tests.
2. Interview: Shortlist of candidates based on exam scores is called for an interview. Through the interview, the candidate's mastery over the subject, ability to conduct research, communication skills, etc. can be assessed.

4. Academic Record: The candidates' performance in previous academics like GATE score and marks/CGPA in the master's degree are the factors that are considered in selection process. Higher qualifications such as MS/MTech may get the priority.
5. Work Experience: Usually during PhD selection, research or industry experience which is directly related will be given a high priority.
6. Recommendations: Distinguished academic recommendation letters from the professors impart credibility to the candidate's research skills.

1. The admission is an objective and free of any form of favoritism through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) held nationally. Students need to write JEE Mains and clear JEE Advanced exam to qualify.

1. Admission to M.Tech courses is usually through the candidate's GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score. Entry point applicants have to pass GATE exam in engineering.

1. Admission to the M.Sc. programs in the majority of departments nationwide are entered on the basis of an entrance test called JAM (Joint Entrance Examination for M.Sc. Students). Candidates have to pass the JAM exam with the required score.
2. In the case of departments like Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, the interview is also conducted in order to also complement the JAM score. There could be a minimum JAM score required to proceed to the next stage (interviews).

1. Admission occurs upon CAT score. IIT Delhi includes CAT scores to screen out candidates for further rounds.

1. The candidates should hold a degree in design, engineering, architecture and related fields with a minimum of 55% marks(50% for SC/ST).
2. The selection is done by two-stage process: first DAT (design aptitude test) and then an interview.
3. The DAT seeks to measure the candidate's ability to work creatively. DAT is a studio test lasting 3 hours, which includes sketching, designing, visualization, etc. They shortlist the candidates based on the DAT scores and call them for the interviews.
4. During the interview phase, participants are evaluated on the basis of their creative skills, design thinking, prior experience, communication skills, interest and willingness to join the program.
5. The final decision is made upon the performance of the candidate on the DAT and the personal interview. Both the DAT and the personal interview are rated on a 100 point scale. Dat has 75% weight while interview carries 25% weight.
6. Alongside this, CEED test score corroboration can be supplied to boost DAT performance during final selection, though qualification at CEED is not a must.

1. Subject to meeting the eligibility criteria, entry is by UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design) exam conducted by IIT Bombay.
2. Candidate are invited for the secone stage of the selection process based on their UCEED rankings and so will they go through the interview round. The interview is assessing of critical thinking, robust problem solving, and creative imagination.
3. The final selection is devised upon 70% of the marks for UCEED score and 30% of the marks for interview performance.
4. 60 seats are total capacity for the 4-year of B.Des program that cut across industrial design, visual communication, animation, interaction design and other disciplines.
5. In UCEED, there are 3 different sections viz. Numerical Answer Type, Multiple Select Questions and Drawing. Each section of the assessment consists of components and they contribute to different weightage when the global results are calculated.
6. Although UCEED score tied with admissibility requirements like cutoffs related to age, academic background etc. are important as well.
