Documents Required for IIT JAM Exam Registration 2024

1. Passport size photograph: Soft copy of your recent color passport size photot will have to also be uploaded with this application. The specifications are: JPEG or JPG format, between 10KB- 200KB range.

2. Signature: You are required to have a soft copy of your signature in JPG/JPEG format between 4 KB to 30 KB in size to make use of it. 

3. Photo ID Proof: To avoid any sort of human error, provide a clear and non-edited image of any one of the valid photo ID proofs like Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license, passport etc. 

4. 10th standard certificates: You need to submit an image of your 10 standard mark sheet and passing certificate during the online application. They are proofs of your date of birth.

5. 12th standard certificates: Ensure that you have scanned copies of your 12th standard mark sheet and passing certificate, in case you are in your 12th grade currently and are in the final year of qualifying exam. 

6. Category certificate (if applicable): Close to 100 category seats where candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD community are allotted, it is mandatory to produce the scanned copy of the applicable certificate. 

7. GATE scorecard (in case GATE score being used): In case you want to use your GATE exam score for admission, you'll be required to show your score card belonging for a GATE Exam.

IIT JAM Eligibility 2024 FAQs

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in the relevant science or related discipline, meeting minimum marks criteria, are eligible. Final year students can also apply.

For General/OBC-NCL, it's 55% aggregate or CGPA/CPI of 5.5, and for SC/ST/PwD, it's 50% or CGPA/CPI of 5.0.
