The JEE Advanced 2024 exam is the gateway to admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). To be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2024, candidates must first qualify the JEE Main 2024 exam by scoring in the top 2.5 lakh ranks. 
Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1999. There is a 5-year relaxation in age for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Candidates must have passed the class 12/equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates). Those appearing for their class 12/equivalent exam in 2024 can also appear for JEE Advanced provisionally. Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Qualifying the JEE Main exam is mandatory before appearing for JEE Advanced. Foreign national candidates need to clear additional eligibility criteria pertaining to their country of origin and residency status in India. Meeting all the above criteria makes a candidate eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam, based on which final admissions will be offered to the IITs.

JEE Advanced 2024 Eligibility

Documents Required for JEE Advanced Exam Registration 2024

- JEE Main 2024 admit card: The admit card for JEE Main 2024 is required during JEE Advanced registration. Candidates have to enter details from the admit card.

- Class 12 marksheet: Scanned copy of the candidate's class 12 marksheet is required showing subjects and marks obtained.

- Category certificate (if applicable): Scanned copy of SC/ST/OBC-NCL certificate issued by competent authority should be uploaded if seeking admission under that category.

- PwD certificate (if applicable): Scanned copy of certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable. The format needs to conform to government guidelines.

- Photo ID proof: Documents like Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license etc need to be uploaded. The same ID must be carried for the exam.

- Passport size photograph: Scanned copy of latest passport size photograph is required. Specifications for the photograph will be mentioned in the information brochure.
