The Somaiya Vidyavihar University is located in Mumbai that is the financial capital of the Maharashtra State and India. Established in the year 2019, it has many constituent colleges which provides courses in several disciplines. It includes management, engineering, design, arts, science, and education. The world-class infrastructure comprising the most updated facilities like specialty labs, sophisticated study spaces as well as a highly equipped digital environment is provided by Somaiya Vidyavihar.

The college offers two high enrolled courses namely B.Tech. decision to spend my summer time interning in Computer Science Engineering and MBA in Finance. The 4-year B.Tech CSE program provides an integrated technical knowledge and focuses on practical programming so that one can apply the concepts learned in class. It is a 2-year MBA Finance course which teaches students the application of financial theory, capital market analysis, banking and investments through theory, cases and empirical research. 

The semester examinations for these programs have two parts. The first part is held in November-December and the second one is in April-May of every year. University uses credit-based grading system to rate students outcomes. In October 2023. the application process for the 2024 batch will start. The candidates must take part in the MHT CET, CAT/MAT/CMAT to ensure their entry into the management and finance courses. Afterwards, those that will be shortlisted will need to apply through the university portal where they will then appear for personal interview rounds as the next step. Seats are assigned according to the picked candidates’ scores in the preparation-exams. The lessons will kick off in July / August 2024.

Somaiya Vidyavihar University Eligibility Criteria 2024

- While BA, BCom and BMS are examples of undergraduate degrees, 10+2 degree passed or equivalent degree from a recognized board with minimum percentage varying across programs is almost always required (usually 45-50%).

- Advance your studies by BTech - 10+2 of Physics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology or Mathematics with minimum 50% marks.

- For MBA program - Bachelor's degree in any subject from any country with a minimum 50% gross marks.

- For MCA - Bachelor's Degree (minimum 3 years) which should be followed by Mathematics with minimum 50% at 10+2 level. 

- For referenced to MA/MSc programs Any field of bachelor degree related to specialization that requires minimum percentage, will also varies from specialization. 

- Ideally PhD + Master's degree in the relevant area with the scores of at least 55% + ability to pass SET/NET/GATE exams can be an additional qualification.

- Applications are opened for hundreds of different undergraduate and graduate degree programs in fields like engineering, business, science, design, etc humanities in all.

- Students can request a print application or can get a form personally from the University Admission office.

- Admission to undergraduate programs falls within a league of MHT-CET, JEE Mains, CAT/MAT, NATA, NEET or qualifying exams.

- For postgraduate programs, the CAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT scores are looked into by the institutes concerned. Experience is also one of the prerequisities for some programs; hence, to qualify for them, students must meet the experience requirements.

- Along with academic scores, various programs also have their own criteria, which might be some extra requirements like putting statement of purpose in application, writing essays, having an interview, and so on.

- Merit is the principle that is considered for this; the merit that is calculated through the assessment scores, the school performance, participation in extracurricular activities, and interview results. 

- Quota for female candidate, defense and sports takes places as per the government norms.

- The university provides scholarships to students who deserve the scholarships and whose economic background are relatively poorer. Students individually need to apply in order to be eligible for those.
