JIS University is a privately owned university which is situated in Kolkata, West Bengal. Immersing in 2014, it presents to the students both undergraduate and master courses in disciplines of engineering, management sciences, arts as well as others. The university is oriented toward students' complete development, imparting academic skills and the ability to find meaning in life.

Computers and CSE as well as marketing are the two most popular courses at JIS University. The BTech CSE course, a 4-year course, has an exciting curriculum with subjects like programming, data structures, operating systems, database management systems, which are problem solving techniques. MBA Marketing program is a 2 year apply course that includes sales, advertising, consumer behaviour, market research, brand management, and, most importantly, the leadership qualities.   

For my programs, the exams are normally scheduled in November-December and April-May for the first semester and second semester respectively. The test days are published in an announcement of 2-3 months that is duly published in public media.  

Admission process procedure for session year 2024-25 will begin from November 2023. Candidates have to write the appropriate main entrance examinations such as JISAT, and then there are rounds of counseling for the final decision on admission. The choosing depends on the academic record, the entrance examinations and personal visibility.

JIS University Eligibility Criteria 2024

- The conditions for undergraduate programs require students to have been exempted 10+2 or equivalent level with a minimal passing percentage detailed in each program.

- B.Tech course aspirant need to clear 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Math with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

- 10+2 passing in any stream with marks 50% minimum (45% for reserved categories), is the eligibility for both BBA and BCA programs.

- BA/BSc/BCom programs are the basic ones, so the students have to pass both 10th and 12th from the relevant stream and the required marks again depends on the program. 

- 5% marks relaxation is provided for those students who have chceived more than others in sports and extracurricular activities.

- Students, who have cleared diploma, will not be disqualified; they may seek admission in directly 2nd year of B Tech and B Pharm courses.

- FIlling the postgraduate program quota, students will need to have a good bachelor's degree at the minimum required percentage of the postgraduate program.

- Undertaking quota and relaxation in regards to the legal parameters applicable for SC / ST / OBC / PWD candidates as per government regulations.

- Many college applications are submitted online via a university’s website that also requires students to submit different supporting documents. This is a general rule that will encompass things like academic grades, entrance exam scores if necessary, your particulars as well.

- Some universities qualify applicants by doing their own entrance tests. These evaluating tests can be the basis of whether a student gets distinguished for their high performance or not. Among other universities some of them might rather allow an admission with the score from national level exams such as JEE, NEET etc.

- Some admissions process along with academic achievements, usually includes other things such as interviews, essays to evaluate the students deeply into the institution. 

- This often means that students must compete for rare places and only those who have achieved a certain level in written tests can apply. However, the cut-off marks range should also be evaluated, as candidates who score just above the cut off may not necessarily make it to the school.
