Eligibility:
- B.Sc./B.Tech. or its equivalent degree with 60% as minimum marks(55% for SC/ST)
- Validity of the GATE score may be needed by some programs (not required for all programs).

Documents Required:
- tenth, twelfth grade mark sheets and certificates.
- Bachelor's Programme Certificate and Transcripts of the grades.
- The result of GATE score card (if the student has one)
- A resume with a work experience certificate (if there is any).
- Certification for the category awarded for SC/ST/OBC-NLC persons.
- NOC from your current and/or former employer, if you are a sponsored candidate.
- Migration certificate
- Passport size photos
- Identification documents (Aadhar, etc).

IIT Guwahati Master of Science [M.Sc] Selection Criteria

1. Written Test
- Candidates are required to appear in a written admission test that is every year conducted by NC Jnau. Interviewee shall be drawn from the those who displayed high scores in the written examination.

2. Academic Record
- The degree of the student in classes 10, 12 and undergraduate is ascertained by using grade/CGPA.

3. Interview
- The next phase is the interview round, where only the shortlisted candidates will have to appear. The IIT Guwahati is in charged of this interview round. The interview board scores the candidates on the components like their subject knowledge, communication skills and so on.

4. Work Experience
- Work experience in industries or research, when any, is also taken into account for applicants during selection.

2. Submit the application online through the IIT Guwahati official website admissions portal once the application portal opens. The application form is available at https://oas.iitg.ac.in.

3. Make sure you keep visiting the admission website for the application deadlines of your programs of choice. Deadlines is usually in the month of April-May.

4. Upload scanned copies of required documents as per the guidelines such as your degree certificate, mark sheets, etc.

5. Fill in the application form on the web.

6. Take a print of the filled application form for your custody as a reference.
