- Admissions listed here depend on the rankings in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). The aspirants will first clear WBJEE and then the qualifying journey gets continue.
- In the process of allocating seats, the colleges are free to set their own rules. According to their respective WBJEE ranks, students will appear for counseling at the university where they will need to fill out their desired college and branch. There comes the stage when counseling is conducted to allocate seats. It happens on the basis of rank, availability, and choices filled.
- Apart from WBJEE cut-offs, there may be different category – wise reservations and quotas for seats available like for females, certain minority groups etc which can also affect individual choices.
- In addition to required seats through WBJEE counseling, some institutes under MAKAUT may have an out-of-the-way selection process in quotas other than management.
- Essentially, the entry level educational qualification is successful completion of 10+2 examination in Science (with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English) with some minimum scores (subject to differentiation for different categories of candidates).

5. Apply online with any of the payment mode like credit/debit card, internet banking, or UPI. Charges for general candidates is Rs 500.
6. Present a printout of the application form which you completed with the application number that you can use in future.
7. Ensure to visit the admission portal quite often so as to convince yourself concerning the release of merit list, dates of counselling and seat allotment and then, you can participate in them as per your rank.
8. After you get weighed by the scale and the admission fees have been paid, you will be granted admission.
9. Provide a set of all the original documents to the concerned admissions office of the given institute to avoid last minute delays.
