- A test that is a standard for grade 12/ intermediate level is used for admission which is based on merit. Such students must have studied physics, chemistry and biology or mathematics in Class 12.

- The eligibility criteria for B. Sc. programs is also considered out of the Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

- Besides merit, they also hold a competitive entrance exam (KALASALINGAM ENTRANCE EXAMINATION) that they conduct for admissions. The exam aims at testing the candidate’s aptitude, logical ability and mastery of the subject.

- The qualifying test scores and entrance test performance are used to sort the candidates and only those who pass through the ‘counselling stage’ will be selected based on merit and reservation policies.

- The two categories of candidates will have different application forms. One for Tamil Nadu Board and other states boards. One university may have a set of cut off scores whereas the other one may have a different sort of cut-offs.

- Final selection after all round process will be done on the basis of candidate's performance in the university entrance exam- KALASALINGAM UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE TEST (KULET) and/or personal interview.

- For the candidates of GATE and TANCET qualified, admission will be based on merit through normalization process.

- For the sponsored candidates, the admission will be based on the results of their personal interview plus their academic credentials.

2. Entrance Exams: You will have to pass the exams like GATE, TANCET or KAREET (Kalasalingam Academy's own exam). Some other programs may provide approvals based on the merit too.
