- Students have to take an admission test specified by the authorities of BHU. The test involves fill-in-the-blank questions testing a candidate's aptitude in this field.
- 50% (45% for SC/ST) in their LL.B degree should be candidate’s minimum eligibility criteria to have completed his/her studies.
- 15% among the total seats are designated for the overseas nationalities. Foreign candidates are admitted on merit bases of their sound performance in the entrance test.
- For the Indian candidates, admission is competitive and depends on the scores of the entrance test and the previous year marks of the LL.B degree. Merit list is prepared combining marks obtained in entrance test with marks of LL.B - 60% and 40% respectively.
- The selection done is final through counseling and whereby students are required to express their choice (e.g.Constitutional Law, Corporate Law) according to their ranks, availability of seats and preference.
1. Verify LLM eligibility prerequisites of BHU and satisfy them in regards to markings, qualification and so on.
2. Submit your LLM application form via the BHU (bhuonline.in) official website when it is made available, the usual time being between April and May.
3. From your available options choose a specialization you want to apply for- like Criminal law, Constitutional law etc. Populate your application with the correct details.
4. Submit your computerized copies of all obligatory documents, e.g. -A degree certificate, Marksheet, Category certificate (if applicable), etc. as per the given specification.
5. Make the online method of a fee payment that is given above in order to attend an event. Keep proof of payment.
6. Send in your application form and collect the receipt of successful submission. Attach photographs on it.
7. Enclose with the application letter in the given time period the documents required and send by post to the designated officer. This proves a hard job as a document has to then be attested.
8. On the scheduled date and time, applicants shortlisted will be envisaged to appear for the BHU LLM Entrance Test.
9. After the announcement of the selections list, check again if the admission selection is included. Attend the college advice round to get your final seat allocated.
