NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the exam which is meant for students who have set their eye upon undergraduate studies in Medical (MBBS), Dental (BDS) and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in India and also for those who desire to study their Primary Medical Qualification overseas. One of the toughest exams having more than 10 lakh applications conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) every year, it is a wild ride for every aspirant.
The NEET exam scheme includes 180 multiple choice questions from both physics and chemistry syllabi of Class 11 and 12. Unlike the recently adopted computer-based tests, the NEET exam is based on the traditional pen and paper format. Registration for NEET-2024 is expected to start from December, 2023 or January, 2024, while the exam date is often in May. The year of NEET 2023 can get the results in the month of June. Admission into any college is completed as per the merit list which is made based on exam score and age reservation (if applicable). The counselling for the same is performed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General/Health Services.
