National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the exam which is meant for students who have set their eye upon undergraduate studies in Medical (MBBS), Dental (BDS) and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in India and also for those who desire to study their Primary Medical Qualification overseas. One of the toughest exams having more than 10 lakh applications conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) every year, it is a wild ride for every aspirant. 

The NEET exam scheme includes 180 multiple choice questions from both physics and chemistry syllabi of Class 11 and 12. Unlike the recently adopted computer-based tests, the NEET exam is based on the traditional pen and paper format. Registration for NEET-2024 is expected to start from December, 2023 or January, 2024, while the exam date is often in May. The year of NEET 2023 can get the results in the month of June. Admission into any college is completed as per the merit list which is made based on exam score and age reservation (if applicable). The counselling for the same is performed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General/Health Services. The list of the various medical colleges is available on the website of the Medical Counselling Committee. Nationality Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible to apply.
Age Candidates must have completed or be appearing for the Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2024. There is no upper age limit.

Disability Candidates who have a disability are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in the minimum eligibility marks.

Documents Required for NEET Exam Registration 2024

- Proof of age: Aadhar card, birth certificate, and 10th mark sheet are examples of leaving traces of my age. The next stage is to verify that the applicant is at least the required age from the date of submission which is December 31, 2024.

- Identity proof: The documents like Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Driving License, and others are valid proofs for identity and address. 

- Qualifying exam certificates: Markets of Tests, e.g. 10+2/HSC/Equivalent examinations certify whoever passes them for the next over of medical studies. An applicant must have passed the exams in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with the minimum required marks from the board examinations of grade 12.

- Latest color passport size photo and signature of the candidate with considerable margin/blank space. 

- Category certificate (if applicable): Share SC/ST/OBC/Economically Weaker Sections Certificate issued by competent authorities.

- If I had the PwD (if applicable) certificate.

Along with these records, the bulletin of 2023 NEET could provide any modifications or additional documents if need be. The site is ntaneet.nic.in and the registration is done online. The e-admission is done by scanning and uploading the documents.
