NEET Seat Allotment 2024 FAQs

NEET seat allotment is the process of assigning colleges and courses to candidates based on their NEET rank, choices filled during counseling, and seat availability.

Seat allotment in NEET counseling is based on the candidate's All India Rank (AIR), choices filled, and the availability of seats in colleges. Higher-ranking candidates have priority in seat allocation.

In some cases, you may have the option to participate in subsequent rounds of counseling for a chance to upgrade your seat. However, it depends on the counseling authority's rules.

If you do not accept the allotted seat within the specified time frame, it may be forfeited, and you may lose the opportunity to secure that seat.

Yes, candidates who are not satisfied with the first seat allotment can participate in subsequent rounds, including mop-up rounds, for a chance to get a better seat.

The refundability of the security deposit varies by college. Some colleges may refund the deposit at the end of the course, while others may deduct fees from it.

Commonly required documents include NEET Admit Card, Result Scorecard, Class 10th and 12th certificates, category certificate (if applicable), identity proof, and passport-sized photographs. Specific requirements may vary by college and counseling authority.

Yes, you can withdraw from the counseling process if you no longer wish to participate. Follow the specified procedure on the counseling website.

AIQ seats are available for candidates from across India, while state quota seats are reserved for candidates from specific states. AIQ seats are managed by MCC, and state quota seats are managed by respective state authorities.

You can check the seat allotment result on the official counseling website by logging in with your credentials. The result will indicate the college and course allocated to you.
