The Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test (BHU UET) is a university-level entrance exam conducted annually by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for admission into various undergraduate programs. The exams are generally held during April-May each year. The key undergraduate courses students can get admission into through BHU UET include BA, BSc, BCom, BVoc, BFA, BPA, etc. across diversified streams. The BHU undergraduate entrance exam is a pen-paper based test of objective type questions with negative marking for wrong answers. The exam tests student's aptitude, reasoning abilities, subject proficiency, and knowledge in the fields of science, commerce and arts. The 2024 session BHU UET exam is expected to be held around April 2023 while the application process usually begins 3-4 months prior.
The BHU UET 2024 results indicating qualified candidates are expected by last week of May or early June 2023 on BHU's website. Selected students will have to appear for counseling sessions for allotment of seats and course. The next BHU UET exam dates for the 2024 admission session are likely to be announced by BHU in late 2023, possibly in December. The UET exam 2024 and result declaration is expected to follow a similar schedule - exams in April-May 2024 and results declaration in May-June 2024 for shortlisted candidates.
BHU UET Seat Allotment is the process of allocating seats in undergraduate courses and colleges at Banaras Hindu University based on candidates' UET ranks and preferences.
To check your seat allotment, log in to the official BHU UET website using your credentials, and access the seat allotment result. It will display your allotted course and college.
Commonly required documents include seat allotment letter, BHU UET admit card, rank card, class 10th and 12th mark sheets, transfer and migration certificates, category certificate (if applicable), character certificate, and passport-size photographs.
Generally, seat changes after allotment are not allowed. However, you may have the option to upgrade your seat in subsequent counseling rounds if better options become available.
If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat, you can participate in further counseling rounds and may have the opportunity to upgrade to a preferred seat.
To confirm your allotted seat, pay the prescribed admission fee within the specified time frame and complete the document verification process.
BHU may release a waitlist for candidates who are next in line if seats become available due to withdrawals or non-confirmation of allotted seats.
Missing deadlines may result in the cancellation of your allotted seat. It's crucial to adhere to the specified time frames.
Seat allotment verification typically requires the presence of the candidate in person. Representing someone else may not be permitted.
