A BLAT test is designed for medical laboratory personnel training and it covers many issues like microbiology, clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, and transfusion medicine. The HBLAT procedure is computer-based, and it has the same 200 multiple choice questions. Meaning of the results from exams is mostly announced within a few weeks. The most common consensus for the passing mark is approximately 70% marks. For those who qualifies, the credential of Certified Biomedical Laboratory Technician (CBLT) or Certified Biomedical Laboratory Scientist (CBLS) is awaiting them.
