The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior (ABVIIITM Gwalior) is an Institute of National Importance and was set up in the year 1997 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. ABVIIITM Gwalior is AICTE approved University and also has approval by UGC. The institute has been accredited by NAAC and is currently graded A+. According to NIRF Ranking 2023, announced recently, ABVIIITM Gwalior has secured a position of 65 in engineering institution of India. 

ABVIIITM Gwalior is a private Institute offering B. Tech./B. Pharma., M. Tech./M. Pharm., MBA, MCA, M.Sc. Mathematics, and Ph.D. in various disciplines including Computer Science & Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Pharmacy and Management. Currently offered and well-known programs includes B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. B.Tech program students are admitted based on their JEE Main scores. In general for MBA and other master programs, the candidates are required to take exams like CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT etc. The institute is now open to admitting students for the next batch in the year 2024. Several entrance tests are conducted, including the CAT 2023 on 26th November 2023, and XAT 2024 on 8th January 2024. The selection methodology includes clearing the entrance test, group discussion, personal interview stages and final placement.  

The institution has a high employment rate in well-reputed organizations such as Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, Deloitte, KPMG, and Goldman Sachs that offer employment opportunities to ABVIIITM Gwalior every year. Over 90% of the students from the 2021-22 graduation batch have been placed, with the highest salary package offering at INR 27.5 lakhs per annum. The median offer size was an excellent INR 10 LPA. Prominent firms that hire data analysts include TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, L&T Infotech, Accenture, Capgemini, Byju’s Ozon, Grofers, etc. Based on the above figures of placements achieved by the institute, it can be said that the institute is one of the best suited for engineering and management courses in the central India region.
