Vellore Institute of Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024

1. For B.Tech programs - Pass in 10+2 (HSC) or its equivalent. Aggregate 60% must be secured in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
2. For B.Des program - Pass in 10th or 12th standard from any board with Mathematics as one of the subject. Must have 55% aggregate (50% for the students of SC/ST).These tests will involve portfolio review and aptitude test.
3. For BA LLB and BBA LLB - 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.Just as the score for CLAT entrance exam is taken into account.
4. For MTech programs - Bachelor's degree in the relevant specialization minimum 60% or a 6.5 on a 10 point grading system.Entrance exam also conducted.
5. For the MBA degree (mater of business administration), the minimum of 50% marks is recommended. Entrance exams such as CAT/XAT/MAT scores are necessary.
6. For MCA-Bachelor of Arts with Math/Stats/Business Math/Quantitative Technique with min 50% marks.Entrance test conducted.
7. Relaxation of 5% marks in marks required for admission to SC/ST in undergraduate program as a concession.For PG, even 55% cut off is to be considered.

The University of VIT had a very impressive placements in 2024 and saw its batch of 3000 graduates offer jobs from many multinational companies in diverse sectors. The highest salary package offered was Rs 65 lakhs per annum. Lead recruiters served as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Samsung R&D, TCS, Cognizant and Infosys among other some firms.
