IIT Jodhpur 2024: Admission, Courses, Fees & Rankings

IIT Jodhpur is amongst the newer of the established Indian Institutes of Technology that it was founded in 2008. It has subsequently expanded as a foremost technical and engineering university, which is recognized by the UGC and MHRD. The IIT Jodhpur is accredited by the NAAC Grade ‘A’ and the institute holds 55th NIRF ranking overall for the year 2023. Placement details for the batch graduating in 2022 were as follows: Maximum package offered was Rs. 70,000 per month, average package of Rs 16,450 per month. In 2022 placements some of the companies are Microsoft, Texas instruments, bajaj auto, DRDO, Tata steel, Infosys, Wipro, HDFCLife, Deloitte, etc prove the kind of technical education and training given in the institute. The approved academic programs and physical facilities etc make it possible for the IIT Jodhpur to emerge as one of the most prestigious technology and engineering institute in the country.

IIT Jodhpur Courses Details 2024

IIT Jodhpur has UG, PG and PhD courses in engineering and science streams of field. It has currently 9 departments as under: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Bioscience and Bioengineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Humanities and Social Sciences. 

The Computer Science and Engineering is spread over 4 years as BTech course and costs around ? 2 lakh per year fee is charged and specialization is offered in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Material Engineering. 2-year MTech and MSc interdepartmental programs are available, with fees averaging ?25,000-50,000 per year. It takes 5-6 years to complete the PhD program and the assistantship offered is ?31,000 per month for the first two years and ?35,000 next three years.
