GEU, as it is called, is a private university in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Started in 93, it is now one of the chief universities in northern India offering students education in all the disciplines including engineering, management, science, humanities, social science, etc. The university sees its campus occupying the area of 60 acres of land. It owns fantastic facilities in academia and sports.

Gramin Era University provides students with a 4-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in different engineering streams such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, and Civil Engineering, among other fields. It also provides a 2-year MBA of business administration (MBA) program which covers such subjects as Marketing, Finance, HR and more. The B.Tech course combines lecture materials and hands-on training meanwhile the MBA course deals with business management and administration.

The university maintains two semesters: semesters even and semesters odd. Exams for even semesters finish in November-December and exams for odd semesters are held in April-May every academic year. The batch of 2024 will enter in the college in November 2023, ie. the admission process will start in November 2023. Aspirants are required to appear for entrance exams at national and state level like JEE Main or UKSEE followed by admission counselling procedure of seat allotment and confirmation of admission in selected college or institute. The application will be completed and submitted via the university portal.

Graphic Era University Eligibility Criteria 2024

- For undergraduate programs: Go through 12th standard or equivalent from a formally authorized board to accumulate the minimum marks that is listed on the particular course structure.

- For postgraduate programs: Completion of undergraduate with a qualification from a recognized university with at least the specified percentage of marks for the respective program.

- Apart from those mentioned, some programs will require extra assessments, e.g. placement tests(GEE/GATE/CAT) or qualifying interviews.

- One of main criteria of eligibility to get a master’s degree is studying subjects, marks/probation, and takes qualified degree/recognized exams.

- And meeting the minimum criterion does not mean that it is 100% guaranteed that one will be admitted. The selection process will visibly depend on merit, entrance test (if it is required and given) and the performance in the interview.

- There are certain relaxed criteria and quotas in eligibility criteria available to some reserved categories’ candidates according to the government rules.

- International students have to written their own application and follow a separate eligibility and admission process, which also must meet eligibility standards set for foreign candidates.

Applications Process

- GEU has over 100 programs to offer from BS, MS, and Ph.D. in engineering, business, industry, design etc.

- Candidates who wish to apply for the position can do so online through our university Website or can request the forms from the admission office.

- For undergraduate programs, applicants need to be appear in 10+2 or equivalent exams both from known board. The varying criteria could be particular for the various programs.

- Regarding postgraduate courses, the candidates should have a suitable bachelors or a minimum GPA as per the program criteria.

- The deadlines may vary depending upon the programs chosen. These are mostly UG programs in May-July and at PG level, they are before April. 

Selection Process

- As for the initial screening process, this is done upon checking their scores in admission academic tests, if there is GEU's admission test, and on the knowledge and the details in their application cover letter. 

- The second stage is the interview session during which the candidates are evaluated for their academic achievement, personal interests and future goals.  

- Acceptance confirmation will depend on completion of the qualifying condition, ranking, occupied seats, and payment of admission fees.

Admission Outcome

- After the application review, the selected students will be invited to join the GEU online or offline by getting admission offer letter.

- They have to settle their course fee in time to reserve the session of the courses they are enrolled, after which the admission office takes care of completing the registration form and student enrollment.
