Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) Pune is one of the engineering institutes which have been offering the engineering degree programs in different disciplines. Computer Engineering Program under B.Tech is of 4 years and admissions are conducted based on MHT-CET/JEE Main/VITEEE scores, and the candidate should have passed HSC or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects. The Electrical Engineering department also provides the BTech degree programme which admits students via MHT CET or JEE MAIN score and HSC pass in PCM is compulsory. Apart from the above mentioned B.Tech disciplines, some other common streams and the entrance examinations for them are: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The admission procedure for the Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune are online as well as offline modes for the students interested to join this college. Online application process is less complicated and takes lesser time compared to the traditional procedures. Through online, the candidates have to visit ‘www.vit.edu’ and find the link ‘Admissions’. Choose your course of preference and then, ensure that you complete the online registration form properly. All the courses have a submission fee which can be paid online using net banking/debit card/credit card. The applicant should fill in all the details and send the application form to the admission office or drop it personally along with the application fee. VIT Pune UG Admission 2024

VIT Pune offers various undergraduate courses in multiple branches of engineering. Computer engineering, B.Tech in computer engineering is offered by the college’s Computer Engineering department and the admission is based on entrance exams at the national level that include JEE Main, MHT-CET, VITEEE among others. Admission process: for general category students, minimum of 45% marks in their respective boards in 12th standard is required. The IT department also has programmes like B.Tech in Information Technology and the admission is based on MHT-CET, JEE Main and CET scores. The conditions for eligibility can be a pass in 12th standard with 45% for the general category students. Other UG departments are Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, wherein the specialization offered is B.Tech. As for the minimum pass criteria, the applicants of general category have to secure 45% of marks in their 12th standard examinations. The scores from the examination like JEE Main, MHT-CET, CET and even Assam CEE are accepted.

VIT Pune PG Admission 2024

The Vishwakarma Institute of Technology Pune admits candidates to postgraduate programs in various departments that include Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and MCA. The admission requirements for the PG courses also differ from department to department but a general rule is that one should have a Bachelor’s degree in the respective field, with minimum 50% aggregate marks. The universities allow students to use GATE, CET, CAT/MAT scores during admission across departments. Civil Engineering has M.Tech programs in Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering with the only entrance criteria being a GATE score. Computer Engineering department offers M.Tech with specialization in Computer Engineering and has GATE CSE/IT score for admission. Information Technology is the Master of Technology which is offered by the IT department of the college accepting GATE CS/IT score. E & TC department has M. Tech in VLSI & Embedded systems only for GATE ECE or related stream. Mechanical department offers M.Tech in CAD/CAM/CAE, Thermal it gives weight age to GATE ME or allied. The MCA department offers admissions and it gives preference to the candidates who have taken CET or CAT/ MAT scores.
