It was founded in 1994 by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, to provide technical education and training to officers of the Indian Army. Army Institute of Technology Admission Process 2024

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12th from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates).
• Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12th.

Application Process:

The AIT application process is expected to be completely online. Candidates are expected to be able to apply for admission on the AIT website by filling out the online application form and submitting it along with the required documents.

Selection Process:

The selection of candidates for admission to AIT is expected to be based on the following criteria:

• AICTE-Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme for Top Rank Holders (AICTE-PGS): This scholarship is awarded to the top 10% of GATE-qualified students who are admitted to ME/M.Tech programs at AIT. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of ?31,000 and a tuition waiver.
• MHRD-Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS): This scholarship is awarded to students from economically weaker sections of society who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies at AIT. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of ?1,000 and a tuition waiver.
• Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Scholarship for Scheduled Castes (SC) Students: This scholarship is awarded to SC students who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies at AIT. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of ?1,200 and a tuition waiver.
• Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Tribes (ST) Students: This scholarship is awarded to ST students who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies at AIT. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of ?1,200 and a tuition waiver.
