AIT in Pune is a well renowned college offering undergraduate and post graduate courses in engineering streams such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and communication, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical and Bio Technology. The percentage of marks required for the candidates to get eligible depends on the departments and for the Computer Science and Information Technology departments the candidate must have passed their 12th examination with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and minimum 60% marks in aggregate. In addition to the above, candidates must have had PCM in 12th with at least 60% marks for ECE and Electrical. For Civil and Mechanical, in PCM, aggregate of 55% is required. The JEE Main, MHT CET and the SAT are accepted entrance examinations for all departments and courses. Some department also consider other exams like CUSAT and KIITEE also valid.

AIT Pune UG Admission 2024

The Army Institute of Technology (AIT) which is located in Pune offers several Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programs in diverse branches of engineering. Amongst these departments, Computer Science and Engineering along with Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering and civil engineering have open national level entrance exam like JEE Main, MHT CET and SAT for the admission of students in 4-year undergraduate BTech programme. The eligibility requirements are that the candidate should have completed their Scienee stream 12th standard examination with a minimum of 50% for open candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. There are few relaxation in the marks that is provided to the students belonging to the defense category. The eligibility of the candidate for admission to the BTech Information Technology program is based on the score in the MHT CET examination conducted by the Information Technology department. Other bachelor’s degrees such as Biotechnology allow the candidate to pass 12th board exams along with a minimum of 50% marks in the Science stream.

Army Institute of Technology Pune has postgraduate courses available for engineering and technology in different fields such as, Computer Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Construction Technology and Management. In some cases, the required qualifications depend in the particular department of the university. For Computer Science, candidates should have a B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate.Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with not less than 60% aggregate. The admissions committee accepts GATE, JEE Mains, MHT CET exams. Electronics & Communication department accepts candidates with a B.E/B.Tech degree in Electronics / Electronics and communication engineering.Tech in Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electrical & Electronics with minimum 55% marks in 10+2 pattern. The allowed examinations are GATE and JEE Main. Mechanical Engineering department requires B.E/B.Tech qualification with first class and should possess good communication and interpersonal skills.Technology Degree in mechanical engineering with 60% aggregate. It mentions few accepted exams such as GATE, JEE Mains. The eligibility criteria for the Civil Engineering department is B.E/B.Civil Engineering Technology degree with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate mark.. Such other examinations as GATE, JEE are accepted.
