NIT Jamshedpur Eligibility Criteria 2024

1. Qualifying Exam: 10+2 Examination or equivalent in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry is passed by all the candidates.

2. Marks Criteria: The candidates are expected to have a minimum percentage of 75% overall (65% for SC/ST in subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the level of 10+2.

3. Age Limit: The age ceiling should be 25 years while the date as well as the year candidates must be born would be considered applicable. Yet this quota is extended by 5 years for ported candidates from SC/ST categories. 

4. JEE Main Exam: All candidates going for B.Tech intake are required to have a valid JEE Main score. The candidates are required to present the score card of the current year or of the previous 2 years. The admission will be provided taking into account JEE Main rank and other criterias like eligibility.

5. Qualifying Subjects: Candidates hope to join the Banking and Finance programs but have to secure 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and also 50% in cumulative total of 10+2 level examinations.

National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (NIT Jamshedpur) has undergraduate and postgraduate disciplines which include engineering and science stream and humanities stream respectively. The BTech course lasted for four years and is offered in different departments comprising Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical among the others.
