The NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Master of Computer Applications COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (NIMCET) is a national level entrance assessment specially planned for the admission into MCA programs offered by NITs and other participating institutes. NIMCET is led by one NIT, that acts as the convener of the NITs, and it is organized annually under the supervision of the NIMCET Steering Committee. The test checks on the ability of candidates to solve problems then draws a conclusion on the candidates’ analytical ability, logical thinking skills, mathematical skills and computer skills. The exam pattern consist of the division between the areas of questions and marks of the sections of mathematics and logic/computer science/general aptitude.
Due to their friendly schedule, probably in the second or third week of May 2024, the NIMCET 2024 will be organised. It is a two hours computer-based online test that is not offered in paper format. After taking the test, key answers are then released. Dispute if any is brought up while the exam is on. The answer key of the final version is published for results processing after that. The NIMCET outcome includes a sectional and an overall percentile score that a candidate gets respectively. They are generally made known during the first or second week of June. The NIMCET 2024 application process, admit card availability and counselling schedule will most likely be announced about 2-3 months prior to the official website, this is like in the expected time frame. Seat allocation is determined in accordance with NIMCET score of the candidate and the order of choices made by the same.

1. Deregistration closure usually happens about ten minutes before the exam starts so get there at least half an hour earlier. Entrance will be closed 30 minute before the exam commencement.
2. Inspect the admission card printout and bring with you an original of a valid photo ID proof along with its photocopy. Acceptable identities are PAN card, driving license, voter ID, Adhar card, etc.
3. Objects authorized for use at the exam venue - admit card printed, ID proof, ball-pen, eraser, pencil, water bottle.
4. Exam items - Any mobile phone or electronic appliance, bag, calculator, charts, tables, log tables, will be not allowed inside exam hall.
5. Pre-frisking is a way to check the prohibited items.
6. Please follow along as the exam center's staff guide you to your sitting positions.
7. With the help of OMR answer key, carefully fill out the OMR answer sheet. Take care not to crease, fold, nor to make any marks on the surface.
8. Manage time well. In the final round, the students will lose one mark per each incorrect response. Mark most apt option.
9. So, in case of any problem let the invigilator know right away.
10. Wear face mask that covers nose area and mouth correctly all the time. Follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
