Mumbai University Ph.D Selection Criteria
1. Entrance Test: The candidates apply to the university and get the test done to determine their admission. It tests the analytical ability, general subject knowledge, and research perceptiveness.
2. Personal Interview: Those with top scores in the entrance examinations form part of the list would be called for interviews. The interview committee rates the candidate in terms of his/her knowledge level, communication capacity, area of research, and ability.
3. Academic Record: Academic abilities are evaluated of candidates after graduation. Graduates with a CGPA of 3.0 or above a second class are also considered.
4. Research Proposal: Students must submit their first research draft at the same time as when they are applying for this program. The committee reviews possible issues, the scope and the novelty of the proposed research presented at the funding competition.
5. Work/Teaching Experience: Previous work or teaching experience increases the effectiveness of qualitative research reflected by the grant panel’s decision. As a result, it is deemed as valuable.
6. Publications: The candidate will get an edge over others if he/she has any first author or joint author publications in any reputed journals which is deemed to add value to the application.
Mumbai University Ph.D How To Apply?
1. Check your eligibility for the program.
You need to have a masters degree in the subject with at least 55% with min. 60%. They also include the minimum scores you need to attain during entrance exams and passing marks for qualifying examinations.
