The Master of Design (MDes) is a 2-year full-time postgraduate program offered by the Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics at Jamia Millia Islamia. The curriculum provides advanced knowledge and skills in various disciplines of design such as industrial design, communication design, fashion & textile design, and human-computer interaction.
The program aims to develop intellectual and aesthetic abilities to creatively solve contemporary design problems. Students learn to synthesize research, creativity, and technical skills for designing innovative products, systems, and services. The pedagogy combines theory and intensive practical workshops that expose students to emerging technologies, tools, and processes.
