Anna University Admission Process

- The allocation of seats in Anna University's undergraduate engineering programs is usually done on the basis of the students' 12th grade/Class XII scores. They use the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counselling process to carry out their applications.

- For pg courses like ME, M.Tech, and MBA Anna university have their own entrance level tests. Students must submit their forms to the university and then also appear for those exams.

- In addition to entrance exam marks, factors including grades of 12th standard, undergraduate performance, working experience etc. may be taken into account for admission to postgraduate courses.

- Applications are usually opened 6-8 months before the academic year starts. So for admission in 2024, applications would open sometime in late 2023.

- Anna University has an online application portal where students have to register and fill out the application form. All relevant documents also need to be uploaded.

- In the application, students have to select the program/degree and specialization they want to apply for. Options include various undergraduate and postgraduate programs across streams like engineering, science, arts and humanities etc.
