The state government of Tamil Nadu through its Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) conducts an examination called Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) for the admission to engineering colleges and courses in the state. TNEA test is a series of multiple choice questions of physics, chemistry and mathematics of the state syllabus of 12th class. Seeking to enroll for BE/BTech courses at Ann University as well as at government, government-aided and self-financing departments of colleges (university departments, constituent colleges and affiliated colleges) - this is TNEA. The elimination order is determined by the TNEA ranks; it is this that provides the basis for counselling for seat allotment.
The TNEA 2024 exam is probably going to be conducted in the second half of May 2024 (around the end of May). At the completion of the exam, the provisional answer key shall be issued while the official results will be announced publicly in the end of June, 2024. The counselling process TNEA containing seat allocation is probable to start in July, 2024. TNEA 2024 is expected to admit to one lakh and fifty thousand engineering applicants into 500-plus engineering colleges around Tamil Nadu in 130 states. While the detailed schedule and application form for TNEA 2024 is expected to be online around February/March 2024, it is important to reiterate that it will be available on the official website.
