AIIMS New Delhi Eligibility Criteria 2024
1. Nationality: You should have to be an Indian national. Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Foreigners are eligible to apply.
2. Age Limit: The candidate should be or should turn 17by the time of admission or on or before 31st December of the year preceding the admission. You can be any age, there is no higher age limit .
3. Qualifications:
For MBBS: You have to have been registered in the 12th grade in a recognized school with an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and also English.
For BSc/MSc Nursing: You must have passed class 12th in subjects of physics, chemistry, biology and English with aggregate 55% marks opted.
For MD/MS/MCh/DM: MBBS, BDS, BVSc, BSc Nursing degree from MCI/DCI/INC/VCI is necessarily important to have.
4. Entrance Exams:
For undergraduate courses: There is only one pathway open – you need to clear the NEET-UG exam, conducted by NTA.
For postgraduate courses: It is necessary for qualifying the AIIMS PG entrance examination held by AIIMS New Delhi.
5. Reservation Policy: AIIMS observes Central Govt. basic rules for reservation of SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates according to the policy.

AIIMS New Delhi Admission Process 2024
1. Registration - The candidates are supposed to register for the entrance exam by filling the online application form that is released in January/February every year.
2. AIIMS Admission Test - The national level AIIMS entrance exam is usually held in May/June for the MBBS admission course. It consists of questions from physics, chemistry, biology, general knowledge and reasoning.
3. Result Declaration - AIIMS publishes the result on the official website indicating the roll number of the shortlisted candidates. It is mostly announced in June.
4. Counseling - Shortlisted candidates are called for counseling sessions which are generally held in July. The counseling has several rounds to allot seats.
5. Seat Allocation - During counselling the seats are allocated to candidates based on ranks, registration choices and seat availability in the respective categories.
6. Admission & Seat Verification - Students have to complete the admission protocols within the stipulated date given in the seat allotment letter. This contains payment of fee, medical exam as well as document verification.
7. Final Enrolment - In this phase candidate will have to go to the department of allotted AIIMS, New Delhi, complete all remaining formalities and can attend classes after the final approval.
