Eligibility Criteria for AFMC Admission 2024

To be eligible for admission to AFMC, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality: Indian citizens only
• Age: Must have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission and must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date (Not more than 24 years in case of candidates who have passed or are appearing in final B Sc examinations).
• Educational Qualification: Must have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) taken simultaneously and 50% marks in English individually.
• Medical Fitness: Must be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence.

Selection Process for AFMC Admission 2024

The selection process for AFMC admission consists of the following steps:

1. NEET UG Exam: Candidates must qualify in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG) for undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and NEET PG for postgraduate medical courses (MD/MS).

2. Application Form: Qualified candidates must register and apply for AFMC Pune on the MCC Website during the NEET Counseling Registration.

3. Shortlisting: AFMC Pune will release the merit list with the NEET Roll Number of the shortlisted candidates for further screening on its official website.

4. Screening Process: Shortlisted candidates will be called for screening at AFMC Pune, which will include:

   • Interview: A panel interview to assess the candidate's personality, communication skills, and motivation for joining the Armed Forces Medical Services.
   • Medical Examination: A thorough medical examination to ensure the candidate meets the prescribed physical fitness standards.
   • Psychological Assessment: A psychological assessment to evaluate the candidate's mental fitness and suitability for military life.

5. Final Merit List: Based on the performance in the screening process, a final merit list will be prepared. Selected candidates will be offered admission to AFMC.
