Kannur University is a university which is under the ownership of the State Government, situated at Kannur, Kerala, India. It has a history that dates back to the year 1996 when it had positioned itself as one of the leading universities in Kerala with over 150 affiliated institutions. Kannur University provides courses in Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels across different faculties such as arts, science, education, law, management studies, medical sciences, and more other courses. Some of the courses some Students commonly register are BA English, BSc Computer Science, BCom Finance, MA History, MSc Physics among other courses.

For programs beginning from 2024, we would likely start the entry process in the first quarter of the year 2023. In addition to the online application forms, students will also submit copies of their qualifying test scores. BA ( English) allotted qualification rules of successful completion at higher secondary level under regional or centre authorities with English as a subject. The qualification for BSc Computer Science is that candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination by passing the streams of mathematics, physics and chemistry. 

Typically, the test is held between March– June of every year and the supplementary test is held on the same date in September. The university gets the results declared in July and students can get their exam grades checked online on their website by using their registration number. The class opening for a fresh academic session 2024 will in all probability start on June 2024 after the completion of the admission process.

Kannur University Eligibility Criteria 2024

- For undergraduate programs: Candidate must hold 10+2 or equivalent qualification as mentioned in the information handout with the required subjects and minimum percentage for each specific program.

- For postgraduate programs: Marks requirement and perspecitve program of shasha subject with bathechlor degree. Along with some programs will be extra eligibility requirements like the amount of income must be under some level.

- For MPhil and PhD: Admission requirements as the master degree in a person subject more the 50% marks. Some courses have a prerequisite to do well in the test and attend a personal interview. Additional criteria may apply.

- For diploma and certificate programs: A General Secondary Course examination, or a Bachelor's degree for certificate/diploma holders. Subject and credit hours may have to be mandatory at a certain percentage.  

- Those who are part of the Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) can avail the benefit of relaxation in the competition of meeting prescribed marks in the qualifying examination as per government rules.

- International candidates shall carefully check eligibility criteria for students on the university enclosure.

Kannur University Admission Process 2024

- One generally gets applications during the month of May or June every year. On the other hand, the admissions are done for different disciplines like arts, science, social science, education, etc.

- Students must be 10+2^{nd} grade graduates or must have completed their equivalent. Some of the subject-specific programs may demand the student to have passed a certain number of subjects and scored a minimum set of marks in qualifying exam.

- The application form to be submitted is online with the payment of the application fee if one applies. Moreover, please ensure that all the documents you are adding to your application are included.

- Based on who they are eligible for, the applicants are then shortlisted to appear in a one-on-one counseling/interview sessions. This is done via admissions process as a pivotal part.

- The verification of documents is done by authenticate copies provided at the counseling session and applicants are counseled to choose the most appropriate course and college based on merit score and availability of vacancies.

- After having gone through the admissions process, students will complete the other school-related processes such as the formalities of payment of admission/tuition fees, college allocation and document submission.

- After that, the reservation policy in relation to the different groups like sports quota, physically handicapped students, etc. will be applied as per the government guidelines.
