The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a state-level examination conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) for enrolment in MBA and PGDM courses offered in many B-Schools across Karnataka. This test therefore is designed in such a way that keeps the candidate's aptitude in quantitative skills, logical reasoning, language comprehension as well as knowledge of current affairs under check. A computer-based test format, held several times a year, provides the examinees with 120 multiple choice questions that have to be answered in 2 hours.
The announcement of the KMAT scores happens within 20 days of the test system. Aspiring students need to clear the cut-off scores and marks in the entrance tests conducted by different institutes so as to to be shortlisted for the following admission stages such as Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. The importance of KMAT scores differs from college to college, meaning the variation of the influence of KMAT scores on the final selection.
According to the KMAT schedule, January, February, April, and May are expected to be the time for the KMAT 2024 examination. The information about actual dates will be posted online few weeks prior to the event on a dedicated page. Performance on the KMAT is a key determinant in whether one gets an MBA seat in the top most MBA colleges in Karnataka state.
